Frequently asked questions

Can I call 112 or 911 anywhere in the world?

No. 112 works on most GSM mobile networks and is the official number across the EU, India and many other countries; 911 works across North America and in a number of other countries. In some places neither connects. Always check the local number before you travel.

Can 91112.com send an ambulance?

No. We are an information resource, not an emergency service. Call your local emergency number directly.

Can I call emergency services without a SIM card or credit?

In many countries, mobile phones can dial 112 (and the local number) without credit, and sometimes without a SIM, but rules vary by country and network. Never rely on it as your only option.

How accurate are the numbers?

Numbers are compiled from public listings and national sources and checked periodically (last October 22, 2026). If you see an error, please report it — corrections are prioritised.
